Question

Why won't the stove top & burners stay clean?

I've used different cleaners and nothing keeps the top and burners clean. Always streaky and a greasy looking. I don't fry foods so that's not the cause. Boiling water can cause this, too. Sometimes If I use a paper towel after cleaning I can get some of the grease and streaks out. But that's rare. And the burners are a problem, too. They burn up and have marks. What is your solution to this. I'm disappointed for the money the stove cost. I clean my stove after every use, so there's no build up. Thank you

I have the same problem and this is reason that I did not give the stove five stars for quality. I too am disappointed that the burners stain so easily. Nothing I have tried to use to clean them works either. Hopefully someone reading this has a suggestion.

We regret your displeasure with the maintenance requirements of this dual-oven range. Once the cooktop has cooled, wash any oil / grease spills and splatters with warm water and a mild soap. Rinse the surface, dry it, and then buff/polish it with a dry cloth. If a stainless polish is needed, be certain to always wipe in the direction of the metal surface finish, as wiping across the grain will leave a cloudy/streaky appearance.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dual gas range. The Model/Serial label should be located on the back of the oven, near the top, behind the controls. The oven would likely have to slide away from the wall in order to access this label. The only other location for this label would be just inside the door frame on the lower oven, on the left hand side.

Question

why doesn't the top half of the oven cook as well as the bottom?

I just got this stove and I am using the ovens for the first time. So baked chicken and potato's, I figure let me use the top oven because it's such a small pan it should be fine. 45 minutes into the cook time the chicken is still very raw and not very hot. Did I do something wrong? Push bake on upper oven, went to the right and punched in 350, then to bottom right and hit start. Got the little song and 45 minutes later, raw chicken. I am now going to try sticking it into the bottom oven on same temp, wish me luck or we aren't eating tonight! Please help, so I don't go through this again. Product LG3036 double oven.

I use the top oven all the time. I made lasagna, baked clams, stuffed mushrooms, and ziti. Most of all I cook pizza and it is done in about ten minutes. It sounds like either you're not doing something right or there is something wrong with your top oven. Does the oven shows that it is preheated to the temperature you have it set on?

Question

What is the rack size of the LDG3036ST?

We are considering buying the LDG3036ST double oven. My question is regarding the top oven and what the dimensions of the oven rack are? Would cookie sheet (17"L x 12"W) fit on the rack. Eye balling it , it does not look like it would fit.

Also, how large a roasting pan would fit in the bottom oven and how large a turkey?

Thanks

22 by 14 inches usable space, make sure to raise the rack to the middle position in the upper oven, so you don't burn the bottom of the cookies. The 17 by 12 cookie sheet will fit perfectly. and the bottom oven will hold any turkey that you are likely to find. We have had a 22 pound turkey in it.

Question

What is required to have this range flush against the wall?

I have heard some complaints that the LGD3036ST range is difficult to position against the wall. I have a gallery kitchen, and the range must be flush against the wall. Is it true that there is no cut-out for the gas connection in the back of the range? My connection is through the floor, about 2" from the wall. Does this mean I will have a 2" gap from the wall to the back of the range?.

You should install your gas supply line between 3 1/2 to 11 inches from the left hand side of the stove (looking at it from the front) and no taller than about 12 inches. The same for the electrical outlet. You can go another4 inches to the right if the supply line is no taller than 7 inches from the floor. You can buy a recessed outlet (clock hanger outlet) if your electric outlet is out of this zone. Our range is flush against the wall. Just stay within the cut out dimensions and you will be fine.

We appreciate your interest in this range and its installation. According to the installation specifications for this product, the recommended area for a “Through-the-Floor” connection for a pipe stub and shut-off valve should be within 2” from the wall, and between 3” and 17 5/16” from the left-hand side of the installation location. The installation package should be provided with an installation bracket that attaches to the floor and back wall. This is to properly position the range and prevent tipping. This should also have the range flush with the wall. If you have additional questions in this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

The recommended area for a through-the-floor, gas line pipe stub is within 2” of the wall, from 2 3/8” to the RIGHT of CENTER, out to 14 5/16” to the LEFT of CENTER. This specification will be found on page 8 of your installation guide.

Question

How can I turn the burners up?

It takes forevery to boil water on this range. At least 15 minutes. We've converted to propane, but should not make it cooler. In fact propane burns hotter than natural gas. Manual says flames should have yellow tips. They do not. How can I address this problem?

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this gas range. If the Liquid Propane is not burning properly, it would seem that the installation of the conversion kit and settings were not completed properly. Unfortunately, adjustments to the gas valves and burners are not a matter with which we can assist, as we are not licensed gas technicians or installers. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

I apologize, but no; The UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF services as an extra timer in the kitchen that will sound when the set time has ended. It does not start or stop cooking. However, the UPPER and LOWER TIMED COOK option feature allows you to set the oven to cook for a specific length of time. The oven will continue to cook for the set amount of time and then turn off automatically when the cooking time has elapsed.

Yes, in case of a power failure, you can light the gas surface burners on your range with a match. Surface burners in use when an electrical power failure occurs will continue to operate normally.

In case of power failure, do not use the oven.
The oven and broiler can not be used during a power outage. If the oven is in use when a power failure occurs, the oven burner shuts off and cannot be re-lit until power is restored. Once power is restored, you will need to reset the oven (or broil function).

We appreciate your interest in this dual oven, gas range. We do not suggest a particular CFM rating for a vent hood. This is a 30” wide range/cooktop. We recommend a 30” coverage vent hood, such as the LSVC302ST, or a similarly sized Vent Hood microwave oven.

I'm not sure what they are called, but I'll try to explain my question. How do I clean & protect the burner covers that sit on the stove top?

The three piece iron (or whatever they are) pieces that sit on top of stove are always stained/marked. I am an avid cook and they do get a lot of use. I've tried soaking them to no avail. They appear & feel like cast iron, but I'm afraid to season them as you would a cast iron skillet. How can Help!!!!

We appreciate your interest in the proper maintenance of your gas oven and its burner grates. Do not operate a burner for an extended period of time without cookware on the grate. The finish on the grate may chip without cookware to absorb the heat. Grates should be washed regularly and after spillovers. Wash them in hot, soapy water and rinse with clean water. These grates are dishwasher safe. Never place the grates in the oven during a SELF CLEAN cycle.
