Question

The 42LN5300 has only a 60Hz refresh rate. Will this cause motion blur in this model or shoulkd I consider a model with a 120Hz refresh rate instead?

I am looking for a "Basic TV" set to replace my existing TV and the 42LN5300 was recommended by the salesperson. I am not interested in a lot of frills and extras, just a good basic TV.

The 60Hz rate looks fine to me. I don't notice any motion blur and all I use is satellite HD programming. This is a great tv if you're looking for just a basic HD TV. I bought this tv for that very same reason. I didn't want all the special 3D, smart TV, apps, etc. This was a perfect choice for me. Perfect size for the price!

Question

Does this TV have an analog audio out?

I would like to connect a TV to powered speakers that only take analog inputs. B&H Photo/Video in New York lists a 3.5mm headphone jack in the specs for this TV. But here on your webpage you list no such option. Can I get analog audio out of this TV? Thanks.

The audio out let for this tv is via Toslink audio cable. I have connected my set with a Toslink cable to my AV amplifier. From the amp. I can connect to just about anything. I don't see how you could go from this set directly to your speakers.

We regret your dissatisfaction with this television. This TV has the capability to label the different INPUT settings. The individual stations can only be labeled by the broadcast signal through the RF Coaxial Cable jack. The menu options does not have a setting to label the channels themselves.

We appreciate your interest in this television. This TV does not have a network connection, nor any networking capabilities. In order to obtain WiFi capabilities, and the online features, such as Hulu, without having to obtain an entirely new TV or player, it is recommended to obtain the Smart TV Upgrader, model SP520 which will allow the Smart TV features which are available through the LG Apps Store. There will be no other items placed on top of it.
The item will be shipped in its original packing material in new condition from the store it was bought.
If it is alright to transport this TV in the flat position, should it be lying on its back or screen side down?
