Yes and if you lose it you cant watch DVDs or Blu ray.

Is there a way to play Region B Bluray DVDs on this unit?
Ordered a DVD for my wife for Xmas and did not know it was coming from Germany. It is region code B. Is there a way to play this?

I own this product. If a region B will not play, see if you can return the disc for a regaion 1 replacement. There are other ways around this but LG will not allow me to discus them in this forum.

I own this unit myself. I went to the lG site and downloaded the 44 page pdf manual. It is comprehensive and very understandable. Regarding region codes, the page addressing this said that the region the player is setup for is indicated on the back and in some cases it will say "ALL". I looked on mine and couldn't find anything labeled. Of course all my discs are region 1. There is discussion in the manual for changing this and it walks you through how to do it. Page 40 has all the region designators. Since it is region B, I suspect it may be in a language other than English, unless the menu system allows for choice. Another way around this is to hit your gegion B with a program that will duplicate your disc and remove the region code. This is simple to do if you have to. My player has a 1-800 number on it for Tech support. I am certain LG can help you with this. Good luck.

The LG site has a downloadable pdf manual that is about 44 pages long. It is quite comprehensive. The audio out capabilities is listed to be either 48, 96 192kHz. This is dependant on your amplifier. I am not sure exactly what you are asking. I have played Blu-ray, DVD and CDs and have no issues with system frequency responce. the fact that it is setup for HDMI indicates it must meet industry minimum standord to be able to use that interface. My case has an 800 number on it for technical support. If the downlodable manual hasn't your answer please call LG directly. Good luck.

Where can I get a 3-RCA A/V cable that will connect to the Coax port on a BP125?
I purchases a BP125 Blu-Ray disc/DVD Player and need to connect it to a video distribution panel with three RCA connectors. I have looked in several retail stores and on several online stores and cannot find the cable. I only need about 4 ft.

I own this machine. The coaxial out only supports digital audio only. There is no video available on this socket. HDMI has the digital video/audio out. No analogue is supported by this machine.

I own this particular player. All back side outputs are digital and not analogue. The coaxial output is audio only and it is digital. There is no video component to this particular coaxial output.

As far as I know it can.
I tried regular DVD's, BlueRay and even some self burned DVDs from a computer. All work.

You can't do what you're trying to do with this player. You need to hook up your computer to the TV directly, not through the BluRay player.

how to hook up BP125 to home theater that only has plug in jacks
Still get home theater when just tv ,but cant figure how to get it with blu-ray player on. The old red,white and yellow jacks. Any help would be great. thanks

Hate to tell you this, but it's not going to happen. You'll need to upgrade your Home Theater Receiver. You said it yourself, they're "old red,white and yellow jacks". New receivers are almost all HDMI. Your best bet is to hook up the BP125 directly to your HDTV and run the TVs audio through your home theater.

The BP125 comes with a IR remote part number AKB73615801. The remote features TV Power, Channel, Volume, and AV/Input control buttons, however the enclosed documents do not give instructions on how to program the remote for televisions.

While holding down the TV POWER button, enter the code for your TV, using the numerical buttons. Then release both buttons. The remote is designed for SINGLE-DIGIT codes, ranging from 1 through 9. Depending on your TV, some or all buttons may not function on the TV, even after entering the correct code. When you replace the battery of the remote, the code number you have set may be reset to the default setting (1). You will have to reprogram the controller.

If the player requires specialized software, such as Apple devices (iPod, etc.) then it is possible that the device may not be compatible to the USB port on a Home Theater System. We regret any inconvenience you may experience in this matter.

Question
Turning off the quick start feature
Whenever I "turn off" the player there is still a signal being sent through the HDMI cable. I assume it's part of a quick start feature.
This is interfering with my HDMI switch as it won't automatically switch back to my cable box because the switch is still getting power from the Blu Ray player.
I cannot find a setting in the menu to turn this off.
Please help.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. This unit does not have any method by which it might block a signal over the HDMI port. You may try checking the TV menu for a CONSUMER ELECTRONIC CONTROL setting (CEC) that might prevent certain HDMI control options from trying to communicate.

Question
LG BP125
I downloaded a driver update from the LG website for my BP 125 player and installed it on my LG BP125 bluray player. The player appears to be frozen. The door wont open to put in a DVD. I have to manually open the door from the button on the front of the machine. It appears to have a hard time closing. Then nothing happens. I watched the Superman Returns DVD just before the upgrade but now nothing. The screen shows the LG logo and the player wont do anything. It will not play any disks. Disks it did play prior to the upgrade wont do anything. To turn it off, i have to unplug the DVD. What can I do? My son bought this for us from his employer, Walmart.

I live in America now, but most of my media is Region 2 coded. This player works great with my Region 1 DVDs, but I was hoping there's a fix to adjust to Region 0.

I didn't see any way to change it. Just get the blu rays, "worked fine with another area code" because they mostly don't have any.
