When installing a microwave oven over the range, the measurement needed is from the cooktop surface to the bottom of the cabinetry above the microwave oven, which should be a distance of no less than 30” at its narrowest point. If this spacing is correct, then the unit will be installed properly.

The removal of a door handle on this microwave oven requires the disassembly of the door. As this can lead to the instability of the filters in the door, we cannot recommend attempting to replace only the handle. We recommend having a service technician replace the entire door. I apologize, but this microwave oven does not have a specific timer to be used to coordinate a meal. If you are wishing to use the display as a standard kitchen timer, this can be done by pressing TIME, enter the amount of time, and then press POWER LEVEL, and press the number ‘0’. When you press the START/ENTER button, the unit will allow the display to count down without running the heating portion of the unit. We appreciate your interest in the installation of this microwave oven. Installation brackets, instructions, and hardware are provided with the product. Keep in mind, however, that the installation kit is designed to install this unit to a wall. There is no mounting bracket for the underside of a cabinet.

This model is installed over my gas range top. It vents from the top of the microwave, so the fan does not interfere with the flame.
