Customer questions and answers for LG Electronics 55G2

Question

What happened to dejudder and deblur for Trumotion settings?

Past LG TV sets had this feature for Trumotion which the 55G2 TV has. What happened to the Trumotion deblur and dejudder settings? This is like a step back from last years sets. Is there even trumotion on the 55G2 set? If there is, I want these settings back.

We regret your dissatisfaction with the design of this television. While, yes, it does have the TruMotion capabilities, the software was not structured with the De-Blur and De-Judder adjustments. We have forwarded your request for the addition of these features. However, at this time, we have no indication available that these features will be added.

Question

We have a new 55G2 and it won't connect to the internet?

We have tried connecting to our secured wireless D-Link router and even plugged in a working (tested) internet Cat V cable to our new 55G2 TV and it sees the wireless web but fails to connect or does not see the ethernet connection. We have been trying for over two hours to improve the wireless signal, which works for the adjacent laptop and i-pad. Still no connections either way. It's probably something simple, we just haven't found it. Thoughts? Thanks.

I am having a similar issue with connecting to a private Work network. I am connecting via DHCP. I wonder if I need to go static and change the rules for that static IP. Maybe a proxy issue? Any advise?

Question

3d world videos don't load

Hi: my new tv is connected to router lan line and I can access the net as well as my cable but when I click on 3d world to try out a video, it lets me select a video and shows me a list, but the screen is blank except for a scrollbar at the bottom. I wait a LONG time and still nothing loads.

I can use other apps, and google so I know the net is working, but this 3d world applet just won't run.

Question

The display doesn't appear to be in 120hz like my 6200 47inch

There is no way to switch the 120hz to smooth like in the 6200 model. The picture is not smooth like 120hz should be. My 47 inch TV was the same way until you sent a firmware update and made those options available. Is this ever going to be available? This was an expensive TV and it's apparent when I have my 2 TV's side by side that the Trumotion is not active on the 55G2 model. Please help! I really don't want to have to return the TV but I want to see shows in 120hz.

It is not actually 120Hz. It is a 60Hz native panel that utilizes a smoothing technology to simulate 120Hz. Hence "TruMotion". Common marketing trick in the TV biz these days.

The 120Hz setting is designed into the LCD panel of this television. All broadcasts, regardless of the notation on the screen, will automatically be processed to fit the 120Hz refresh rate of the screen. The 60Hz designation simply refers to the signal frequency as it is received. If it appears on the TV screen, it is showing as 120Hz.

If you have the input from cable/satellite going directly to the TV and output to the receiver the sound should pass to the receiver. If you input to the receiver and output to the TV, the TV Internet will only play through TV speakers. Think you may also have to disable tv speakers in setup.

We appreciate your interest in this television. This unit should have the AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL available through HDMI1. Some features may not allow audio output to an external device. One could certainly attempt such a connection. Otherwise, we might recommend connecting an OPTICAL cable from the TV to the Home Theater System.

Yes, this television has been designed with a 1080p / 120Hz screen. If the display is stating 1080i and 60Hz, this is simply stating the format and resolution being received from the signal source.

Question

Does the 55G2 have a sound leveler

Hi

Does the 55G2 have a sound leveler or something similar that will automatically lower the TV volume when a comercial comes on?

If so what is it called, and where can I read about it?
If so, can you set up TV so it will work with the various audio outputs, like analog audio out, digital optical audio out, headphone audio out?

Does the 55G2 have
analog audio out?
digital optical audio out?
headphone audio out?

If the 55G2 does not have an audio leveler, do you have a similar 3D Google TV with an audio leveler?
