Is there an infrared code for HOME or APPs buttons for 55LM7600?
I use a Harmony Universal Remote. I programmed it to control 55LM7600. It does not control the HOME command or APPs command. Is there an infrared code for HOME or APPs buttons? It looks like only the magic remote can control these commands in RF.
Also, do you sell an infrared remote for this TV that can control all the TV actions, including HOME and APPs?

A standard remote control is available for this television. Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491. The more likely reason is that the 60Hz information is a description of the signal that is being received for that channel. It is stating that the inbound signal from the cable provider is formatted at 60Hz. In such a situation, it would have no bearing whatsoever on the processing being performed by the television. The fact that the TV is processing at 120Hz would not be displayed on the channel info display where it says 60Hz.

Tru motion doesn't work on this tv. LG has admitted it doesn't work yet, but sold the tv anyway.

The 60Hz you see is referring to the source output refresh rate, that's why having higher Hz 240-120Hz is important to have. It creates/interperlate additional frames in between frame to give you a smoother picture. Basically all sources will say 60Hz, just keep in mind it's referring to the source not the tv.

convert digital audio out to rca
I have an older audio tuner for my surround sound. it does not have a digital optical in, only rca. Of course, the 55LM7600 does not have rca out for audio. Is there anyway to convert the digital optical signal from the TV to rca and have 5.1 surround sound? Do they make adapters or converters for this?

RCA is an analog output. True surround sound is in the digital realm, via coaxal, optical or HDMI. For the best surround sound detail I would recommend upgrading your AV reciever to a digital system. You won't regret it.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television and its compatibilities. You are correct; this TV has been designed for use with a digital receiver using an OPTICAL Audio cable. We have no information available about conversion cables to downgrade the audio signal from digital to analog, and an optical signal into a traditional audio signal.

there is button on the remote that allows you to toggle between 2d and 3d.. it converts all 2d to 3d.. pretty cool.. even if you're streaming from youtube.

I use spaces in my network password, but when

As long as your router supports WPS then you can use that route instead of manually entering the password. There seems to be some "quirks" in LGs handling of passwords for WPA security.

From everything I have read, it is 240hz, although its a bit confusing seeing the 60hz in the upper right side of the screen.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. The 240Hz setting is designed into the LCD panel of this television. All broadcasts, regardless of the notation on the screen, will automatically be processed to fit the 240Hz refresh rate of the screen. The 60Hz designation simply refers to the signal frequency as it is received. If it appears on the TV screen, it is showing as 240Hz.

How can I get my LM7600 TV connected via Wi-Fi?
I bought a new LM7600 55" Smart TV and I am trying to connect it to the internet via Wi-Fi connection through my home network. It "sees" my home network, but has failed multiple times to connect. My router is a Cisco Linksys E3200 with WPA2-PSK security.

i had the same problem. i was told by friends that the location of my tv may not be the best to recieve the wifi signal.. nonetheless i kept trying and eventually connected. keep trying to connect or consider relocating the tv

The only difference I saw was that the 8600 has a dual core processor. But I just bought the 7600 and the internet features are pretty fast, reasnonably speaking of course.

From my research, it is mainly that the 8600 has voice recognition and a few minor picture options such as an extra zoom mode. In a few places they said that the bezel around the 8600 was smaller but I cannot confirm this.

When i watch tv with directv, the tv says the image is being displayed at 60hz (trumotion plus is turned on). The image is blurry and looks horrible.. How can i change the refresh rate to 240hz?

Direct TV is horrible picture quality compared to your regular antenna. Cable TV does the same thing.. It is because they compress the "lemon juice" out of your content in order to send it to you.. It is a total bummer and they need to fix it!

It's most likely an issue with the source's settings, not the TV as its settings are correct. My cable box is set for 1080i out, and my tv shows "16:9, 1080i, 60hz", and the picture is amazing.
Check the cable boxes settings and make sure its on 16:9 and 1080i/p output using an hdmi cable. The true motion and other settings take that 60hz/1080i picture from the source (cable box, blu ray player, etc) and convert it into 240hz motion refresh rate. The 1080/60hz out is the highest nearly all cable boxes put out right now, and the higher line tv's use that and upconvert to better image quality.
Check the cable boxes settings and make sure its on 16:9 and 1080i/p output using an hdmi cable. The true motion and other settings take that 60hz/1080i picture from the source (cable box, blu ray player, etc) and convert it into 240hz motion refresh rate. The regular remote from my older LG TV works with this one too, so it can definitely use a regular remote. I would suggest just finding the universal remote that you like best and it will be able to be programmed to control this TV.

Question
How does one connect external speakers via a 3.5mm audio jack (headphone jack)
There is a black port which says (RGB/HDMI-PC) above it. A 3.5mm audio jack fits into the port like the video port. I'm not getting any sound. The manual says to switch the audio settings to off, however I only see two options: TV Speakers, and External Speakers. External speakers still yield no sound (TV output works as normal). I've troubleshooted the wires and even tried plugging headphones directly into the port. The 3.5mm audio jack is stereo (two black stripes on the plug). Is this an input port only? How does one connect external speakers via a 3.5mm jack?

I noticed that the tv does not have an 3.5 jack for headphones or output, sad but what i did noticed is that it has an digital audio output and i was able to connect my sorround speakers with this cable, its just one cable that when you connect it the tip of it lights up.
and the connection is a little black box that it doesnt look like you can connect anything but its the digital audio, hope this helps.

The 3.5mm audio jack, you have mentioned, is an Audio INPUT connection, designed to receive audio signals from a computer, or other such device. This TV does not have the capability of Audio OUTPUT through a 3.5mm connection. The only Audio OUTPUT available on this TV would be the OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT which is designed for use with a Home Theater System.

the tv came with a red white and yellow cable adapter and this cable has on the other end a tip like a headphone 3.5 jack, that is connected to the tv,

We appreciate your interest in this television. The RED/WHITE/YELLOW connection is known as a COMPOSITE cable. The Component connection is a completely different connection. This TV should have come with an adaptor cable that has a Yellow/Red/White patch cable on one end, and a single YELLOW plug on the other. This connection should be matched to the YELLOW AV IN plug on the back of the TV. Information concerning this connection can be reviewed on page 24 of your owner’s manual.

Try turning off Real Cinema and Tru Motion. That should do the job. If you hace you PS3 connected directly to the tv then you should just use the game port via HDMI. That port is automatically adjust for gaming and turns off the above features.

Is the bottom bezel on the 55LM7600 black or silver?
It is not clear from the pictures if the bottom bezel (the part with the LG logo on it) is silver or black.
On other TVs like the 55LM6700 it is obviously silver.
I would much prefer the bezel to be black and it would be a deciding factor which model I choose.

I have been able to watch youtube videos, check my email on yahoo and gmail, search for things on the internet so no problem with browser, did not limit me to lg at any given point. hope this helps.
