Since I'm looking at 6400, and 6700 models myself, the difference I see is in the "Dynamic Contrast Ratio" specification. This has to do with picture quality, whiter whites - blacker blacks kind of thing. The 6700 has a better ratio 8,000,000:1 as opposed to the 6400 at 7,000,000:1. I've already set my sights on the 47LM6700 for this holiday season, offers a lot of bang for the buck. Good luck with purchasing decision, and happy holidays!

I bought Fast Five from Amazon on 7/10/2013. So I guess the answer is yes. I was able to watch Amazon video using this TV with whatever current firmware I have. The picture was OKAY, it says HD but I saw some trailers specifically said HD 1080P, so I guess it's 720P maybe? I have no idea. The streaming looks OKAY but not spectacular like from a Blu-Ray disc, anyway it's 47" so it can't be really spectacular. I have a FiOS 50/25 connection.

Intersting that LG cannot provide Amazon on this model, but on its 2011 and 2013 models !!???!! Even my LG Blu-ray player has Amazon Video on Demand..Very sad that LG's product literature for this TV lists the Amazon app as a feature. Now I will think twice or pause for a long time before buying another LG TV...

At this time the 2012 model Smart TVs do not have an App available to provide Amazon VOD. While it may be possible for this feature to be added in the future, we have no indication when, or if, Amazon will allow for this addition to our products.

Question

Youtube Issues

I see lot of lag with youtube app on TV, I tried both wired and wireless connection, but from the start itself the audio and video both runs out of sync, at the start both pauses a lot and giving chucking noise. I'd to rewind the video 4-5 times before it's viewable (a little in sync).

One of my friend owns same TV and he had observed similar behavior.

Is there a upgrade I need to apply to the TV?

I've been having this problem as well, while everything else on the TV functions well it seems like, I'd really like to be able to watch youtube videos because they look so great in 1080p on this screen for the few minutes they do work, until i get the "request could not be processed" or similar message.

I have been reading that others have been experiencing the Youtube audio and video sync issues. This issue needs to be fixed in a firmware update as this is unacceptable. Hopefully sometime in May or June a firmware update can be released.

Question

why is there NO trumotion option?

for a 2012 model, this is unacceptable. my older LG tv has the Trumotion option, and looks MUCH SMOOTHER than this 2012 model.

the 7600 which is also a 2012 has the option. why did LG decide not to include this in the 6700?

the motion on this Tv is NOT smooth, it looks like the trumotion isnt even working. This is unacceptable for a 2012 model. very dissapointed in my purchase.

I agree. LG needs to add an option to toggle to turn on and off the Trumotion feature in a firmware update for both the LM6200 and LM6700 models.

If the LM7600 model is able to do this and is built from the same family, I don't see how hard it would take LG to implement this. I don't like to see fragmentation among the same family of products.

We regret your displeasure with this television. Both the LM6700 and the LM7600 series televisions have the TruMotion features. The difference between them is that the LM7600 is capable of twice the refresh rate of the LM6700. The TruMotion feature is designed, in the LM6700 series, to be set to the active mode automatically, with no controls for deactivation. If you believe there to be a problem with the unit, then you may attempt to have a technician inspect the unit for proper operation. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

If you unpair the Magic Remote from your TV, it will switch back to transmitting infrared signals. Then you can learn those IR signals with your learning remote.

Hold down HOME and BACK button at the same time for 5 seconds to unpair.

To re-pair the remote, I usually just wave it around and spin the scroll wheel - that usually does it.

My Youtube app does crash occasionally. It has something to do with the router and the amount of bits put through that router. If you can use a 5Ghz channel, it would help. If you can hook up your router direct it should be even better.

Question

lack of Wall mount inner spacers and traditional remote controller in the pacage

Hi,

I just bought a 47LM6700 TV. The user manual mentioned there is "Wall mount inner spacers" included in the package. But I can not find them in the pack. Are they accidentally missed or it's true the LM6700 does not include those things in the pack?

Another thing missed is the traditional remote controller. Some website reviewed mentioned this series include a traditional remote controller, in addtional to the magic one. Is it accidentally missed in my pack as well?

I chose a Sanus mount for my LG47LM6700 and it works just great. The up/down doesn't allow a lot of adjustment (and most of it is 'Down' adjustment, but the left/right allows for major swinging from side to side (almost a full 180 degrees.
I got mine at Best Buy. It's model number: VMF220-B1

Mounting instructions are very clear and there's even an excellent video on how to do, on-line on their site (exceptionally well done by them - a rarity).

Know, of course, that the TV weighs about 36 pounds (without the stand which you don't use with the wall mount) and so you must find a wall stud (only one) to attach to. Getting that part wrong could be expensive and messy!! The mount is pretty heavy too but very well designed with a few neat features of it's own.

We sure like ours and it works well. Good luck!

There are a lot of questions here. Will you be using an antenna, cable set top box, or satellite receiver? I use Comcast and there is a special way to set your STB to stretch the picture so you don't see the bars. Yes, you can all but eliminate the bars by going to the Picture Menu and dropping from 16:9 to Cinema Zoom and then adjusting the picture to your own tastes. This will then give you a Zoom of 1 to 15, with 15 totally removing the bars. Get the set, you won't regret!

Yes. The black bars that are on the screen are LG's way of keeping it super thin while still having a border. The black border built into the screen will not produce a picture.

No Pandora?

I recently bought the 47LM6700. When i went to the apps, there is no pandora. Where is it? Your features page clearly shows pandora as an app (See attached). If Best Buy won't take my TV back, I may need to seek legal action. That is false advertising and against the law. I specifically bought this TV because it was supposed to have it. Very Disappointed.

You can use any thumb drive or even an external HD. Just plug it in to the USB port and a window will pop up to select the drive. You can also use smart share from your smart phone to stream music, movies, and pics. Enjoy, I sure do!

We appreciate your interest in this television. Video files do not operate in a JPG format, as this is a STILL PICTURE format. JPEG, JPG, and JPE are the only compatible picture files, and must be formatted between 64x64 to 15360x8640 resolutions. If you have any additional questions regarding this operation, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
