We appreciate your interest in this dryer and its proper installation. According to the information on page 13 of the owner’s manual, it is recommended to allow a minimum of 5” behind the unit. This should allow sufficient clearance for the 4” diameter rigid or semi rigid ductwork. No narrower venting duct will fit the dryer vent.

my power outlet happens to be 3' off the floor so there is plenty of room to pull the dryer out to install, clean, vacuum etc; the cord is 6' long make sure you get the 4-wire 4-prong cord, it is NOT included. if you have an older house with a 3-prong outlet get a 3-prong cord, but make sure you GROUND the dryer!!! the instructions will show you how to safely install the cord.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this product. It is unlikely that the puddle is coming from the dryer, as there is nothing within this unit that uses any water. It is recommended to check the water lines to the washing machine to see if there may be any leakage from that point.

NSF International (formerly the National Sanitation Foundation), certifies that the Anti Bacterial cycle can reduce 99.9% of bacteria on laundry, and none of the bacteria will carry over onto the next laundry load. This option is available for use with either the COTTON/NORMAL cycle or the TOWELS cycle.

I understand you need a kit to vent anywhere other than the back, I want to know HOW this is done, are the extra vents easily accessible or does it require disassembly of most of the dryer? Is it an easy process to change to side vent?

go to a home improvement store where the "dryer venting" supplies are and ask for help in inquiring a "wall space friendly" dryer side vent pipe. they will know what you mean and get some clamps for it too. you do NOT need to take the dryer apart! it is easy to vent follow the instructions.

Question

What is 4 way venting?

What is 4 way venting? Can I vent out of the top or side of the dryer?

Is there a special kit need to do this?

I have a shallow space to install the driver and I want to get it as close to the wall as possible. I would like to vent the dryer out of the top (that is where the vent exits the room) I could also vent out the side if that was my only other option.

You are right the spec sheet says:
Electrical Requirements 240V, 30 Amps (Electric)

The manual says:
The dryer has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes (the circuit must be fused on both sides of the line). ELECTRICAL SERVICE FOR THE DRYER SHOULD BE OF THE MAXIMUM RATE VOLTAGE LISTED ON THE NAMEPLATE. DO NOT CONNECT DRYER TO 110-, 115-, OR 120-VOLT CIRCUIT. (page 23)
