When receiving audio signals from a television, the sound and picture may not be matched properly. In this instance, this AV SYNC function can adjust the delay in the audio playback. It is used simply by pressing the AV SYNC button, and using the CHAPTER BACK // CHAPTER FWD buttons. These buttons allow the chance to scroll up and down through the delay amount, which you can set at anything between 0 and 300m/sec.

Question

How to turn off front display screen?

I was wondering if there was a way to turn off, or dim the front display screen on the soundbar... it is a little distracting for the home theatre set-up with it constantly displaying "Optical1" at the bottom of my tv screen.

Remote Control Operation

I have a Toshisba REGZA 46" flat screen and am hooked up to DirecTV, no dvd player or home theater setup.

We appreciate your interest in this Sound Bar. The remote control of this Sound Bar system does not have the capability of interacting with your DirecTV receiver. If you wish to use only one remote control, it would have to be one of the other remote controls. However, we cannot guarantee that those other remote controls will be compatible with this Sound Bar either.

Question

Soundbar and Sub Woofer are not pairing

I purchased the soundbar this morning and have set it all up, however I get sound from the bar but no bass coming from the sub. I have tried pressed Stop on the bar and mute on the remote to put it into remate mode and pressed the pair button on the back of the sub with no success, I have tried this in various positions around the room ranging from 2ft - 12ft away from the bar all with no success.
I am thinking there is a power supply problem to the subwoofer maybe? but I don't know how I can tell if it is receiving power or not? should there be any kind of LED on the front of the sub?

Yes, the subwoofer should have an LED indicator light that will show if the unit is receiving power. If there is no display, then there is no power present. A RED indicator denotes the unit being in STANDBY mode. A BLUE or YELLOW light denotes the unit receiving a signal.

Question

USB, Bluetooth & Optical levels do not match

Just recently purchased the SoundBar. The audio quality on USB MP3 is excellent and I have lots of level to play with. Get good levels at around 21 and can boost up to max to get very loud levels.

However my levels from Optical connection and Blue tooth are much much lower. I have to run the level at close to maximum to get reasonable levels. The Optical is coming from my digital cable box and the Bluetooth form my cell phone. I do not believe I can change the levels coming from either of these devices.

So why are the Optical and Bluetooth input levels so much lower than the USB input. Is there someway to boost these levels.

I noticed exactly the same problem. When I hooked up the soundbar, the audio wasn't any louder than my tv which was pretty weak. I then googled and saw your post here so I tried the usb/mp3 route. I was amazed how loud and good it sounded, sounded like a completely different sound bar. I then messed with my verizon FIOS motorola box and changed the compression setting from none to heavy (totally unintuitive setting) and the loudness increased. Bluray still isn't all that loud but it is ok. LG really need better input level management. Bluetooth audio wasn't all that loud either. The USB/mp3 is still the best.

For all of you who think the soundbar is plenty loud, copy some mp3s onto a usb stick and plug it in. Switch the input to usb and use the directory keys on the remote to switch to the mp3. You will be amazed by the sound.

I have this unit with a LG TV mod 47LM6700. I have run BlueRay, Cable box, etc. to the TV. Then I connected the TV to the sound bar via an optical cable (i.e.: all sound signal come only from the TV output) I have great sound levels regardless what source I use for video.

Question

Soundbar connections

I recently bought an LG 55" 3D TV. I discovered it does not have a head phone jack that allows me to watch TV and not disturb others in the house. I am therefore looking for a sound system that connects to the TV and also has a headphone jack. This soundbar doesn't seem to have a head phone jack but has blue tooth streaming. Can I use this to acheive my objective?

Please help.

Thanks
Barry

Question

Wireless subwoofer won't pair

I bought the NB3520A last night -- the first unit was defective and wouldn't even turn on. I got a replacement from Best Buy which works, but the subwoofer won't pair. When I hold the "stop" icon on the unit and the mute button the remote at the same time, nothing happens -- the unit does not show "remate" so I have been unable to get the subwoofer to pair at all. The subwoofer either has a fast blinking or slow blinking yellow-green light, or blinks from red to yellow-green if I push the pairing button, but I've yet to see a solid yellow-green light. Any suggestions?

Question

sound & video out of sync

I'm using my NB3520A sound bar for the first time with a 55LW5600 HDTV. When watching a DVD, the sound and vidio are just a little off. The sound bar remote does have a "AV SYNC" button, but I don't know how to use it.

Do you hold the AV SYNC button down and then adjust the sync with another button or buttons?

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this Sound Bar. Once the two devices have been connected with the OPTICAL Digital Audio cable, access the AUDIO menu on the television. Find the TV SPEAKER option and set it to the OFF setting. Turn the Sound Bar off, and then reactivate it. This should allow the audio to transmit to the Sound Bar. If you continue to have trouble, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance.

Press and hold the STOP button on the unit and the MUTE button on the remote control simultaneously. This should make the unit display REMATE. Press PAIRING on the back of the woofer. After the light flickers, turn off the unit. Turn it back on; and if you see the BLUE or YELLOW LED light, it was a successful pairing. Optimum performance can be implemented only when the unit and the wireless subwoofer are between 6 and 32 feet distance. If the unit continues to be troublesome, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance.
