A television that is 3D Capable means that it can receive 3D images, and can be configured to modify 2D images to a 3D format, should you so desire. 3D BluRay discs will still need to be played on a 3D BluRay player for best operation.

We cannot recommend any particular cleaner. To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth. To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent, then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

Plasma TV question

Just bought a 60 in Plamsa PA6500. Everyone I speak to says that I should have went with an LCD or LED because of Burn-in issues with Plasma televisions, even with 2012 technology. Is this something I need to worry about and if so, what can I do to prevent this?

HAD AN LG PLASMA FOR 7 YEARS, NEVER BURNED AN IMAGE. TV HAS AN AUTO TURN OFF IF IMAGE FREEZES FOR OPTIONAL PERIODS OF TIME. BURN IN MIGHT HAPPEN IF YOU USE TV FOR GAMING, OR AS A COMPUTER MONITOR AND HAVE THE SAME IMAGE ONSCREEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. REGULAR TV/MOVING WATCHING WON'T BURN AN IMAGE UNLESS A STATIC IMAGE IS LEFT ONSCREEN FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.

We appreciate your interest in this plasma television. All plasma televisions, regardless of when it is manufactured or what “technology” is available, will have the potential to experience screen burn. As such, LG has provided the Image Sticking Minimization (ISM) features, which are designed to reduce the effect of screen burn. Anytime there are stationary images for extensive periods of time, a burned image can occur. When you note this happening, the use of the ISM features can help reduce / remove this. If you have questions about this, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

We appreciate your interest in this television. The 60PA6500 television uses a M8 machine screw for wall mounting purposes. A length of the screw is not provided because this will depend upon the design and thickness of your mounting bracket.

Wall mounting screw sizes

Im trying to wall mount my new LG and It appears that the VESA wall mounting holes that are 600 x 400mm on the back of the LG 60PA6500 do not work with a metric M8 machine screw with a thread pitch of 1.25. Could you please tell me what type of screw i need that will fit the VESA wall mounting holes? Are you now using a 1.0 thread pitch?

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced. We have no specifications further than that the unit requires four M8 machine screws. This M8 screw appears to only be available as either a 1 mm or a 1.25 mm thread pitch. If one does not work, then it must be the other.
