According to the information in the owner’s manual, on page 27, adjust the temperature in the REFRIGERATOR compartment by pressing the REFRIGERATOR button. When the temperature setting gets to the limit of its cycle, it will start over at the cycle’s other extremity. The operation of the FREEZER is performed in the same fashion, with the FREEZER button.

No, but it does have an ice bin in the freezer in which you can empty ice from the maker. When we have parties I empty the ice maker bin into the freezer bin a couple of times the day before to make sure we have plenty.

I use a stainless steel cleaner that I purchased at Cost Plus World Market, you can also get commercial stainless steel cleaners at Lowe's and Home Depot that work really well.

Stainless steel finishes can be cleaned with warm water and a mild detergent. When cleaning stainless steel, it is important that all detergent is rinsed off and the unit is wiped dry. Also wipe in the direction of the grain. If a stainless steel cleaner is preferred, it is important to follow the cleaner's directions. These instructions are provided with the cleaner and vary by cleaner. When choosing a cleaner, it is important to be sure that the chosen cleaner is intended for household appliances and not commercial grade products. Here are some recommended cleaners: Simple Green, Ceramabryte Stainless Steel Appliance Cleaner, Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish, Magic American Products: Stainless Steel Magic (Aerosol Spray), Ceramabryte Stainless Steel Polish and Conditioner, and KitchenAid Stainless Steel Cleaner.

Question

Help! Why is water coming out from the water dispenser in trickle.

Just got my LG25991ST. The very first thing that we noticed was that the water comes out from the dispenser ln trickle, It takes 4 minutes to fill a glass. We cannot even dump a galloon of water before drinking water from the dispenser because it takes too long to fill a glass. It's very frustrating because our old refrigerator which was replaced by LG had a far better flow of water. I don't even know if this LG is producing ice because if the water comes out in trickle, how could it produce ice. I will check it out tomorrow if we get ice because the manual says that it takes 12 to 24 hours to fill the ice bin. Hence, I don't want to open the ice bin yet. I would appreciate if there is an expert who could please answer this question asap or is there anyone who had experienced the same problem.

I doubt it's the fridge. Mine works fine. It's probably an issue with the water line coming into the house. Maybe the line is pinched or the lever isn't turned all the way on.

We regret your dissatisfaction with the operation of the water dispenser on this refrigerator. Generally, the only cause for such slow water dispensing would be that either the water valve, in the wall, is not opened up fully, or the water filter is not properly installed. If this does not prove to be the case, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

When the technician installed my refrigerator, he set the fridge temperature to 37 degrees and the freezer to minus 1 degree, and the unit cooled fairly quickly. (As this was a swap-out of my old fridge, I had no choice but to put my food - mostly frozen - back in the new fridge immediately, but I did not notice any spoiling of the food.) The only thing the technicial told me was to throw out the first 2-3 gallons of filtered water and the first two trays of ice. At the minus 1 degree, I notice that ice is forming on the top tray of the freezer, but I'm assuming this can be fixed by adjusting the temperature.

After the unit is installed for the first time, or reinstalled after being moved, the unit must be allowed 24 hours to cool. It can take up to 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize in the unit once it has begun cooling, depending on food storage, ambient temp., how often the doors are opened.

When items in the freezer build up frost, it is typically caused by warm, moist air getting into the unit. This could be from the door being left open, from frequent opening and closing of the door, from warm items being placed in it, or it could be from an air leak at the gasket where the door closes. CAPACITY of this model:

Total 24.6 cu.ft. <-- which qualifies this model for the "25 cu.ft." category.
