Question

The volume on my LG 47LV4400 turns low every few minutes. Is there a fix?

Every few minutes the sound on my LG 47LV4400 turns low. I turn the volume back up and again, after a few minutes the tv will turn down again. I have tried adjusting the settings in the sound menu, but could not find a fix, Is there a setting or a fix to this problem?

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this unit. It is recommended to try the INITIAL SETUP selection from the OPTIONS menu. Check to make sure that the TV is set to HOME instead of IN STORE. This feature will allow you to make changes, and then after a few minutes, will return the TV to its preset configuration. Having it set on the HOME feature will deactivate the mode that makes these returns to the show room settings. If this does not resolve the matter, then the TV may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

Why does the volume turn down automatically?

I just bought this T.V. from Costco yesterday. I can't figure out why it turns down automatically every ten minutes. It's really annoying having to turn it up all the time. I hope its an easy fix. Thank you for helping me.

The TV is still in store mode. You need to switch it to home mode. Press the home button on your remote. Go to mode setting and switch to home. When people are in the store they adjust the settings on the display models, so the tv has a store mode that resets itself to default settings after a few minutes. I had the same problem with my tv and I was very frustrated. After switching the TV to home mode, I have not had a problem with the volume turning down on it's own.

This television does not have any sort of feature that would automatically lower the volume after a set amount of time. It seems that this television may require service. The only screw specifications that we have listed are M4 machine screws. The length of the screws will depend upon the bracket being used. The wall brackets will often come with the required installation hardware.

We regret your displeasure in the appearance of the images on the screen. The ability to calibrate the video settings is performed on the PICTURE MENU of the TV. The PICTURE MODE settings allow you to manually adjust the image appearance. If this does not sufficiently resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

This symptom is one that, most frequently, is related to incorrect wiring between the player and the TV, or the player being from a different country than the TV. If you have attempted to connect a red / white / yellow cable to the component jacks of the TV, this will be the result. If this is the connection that has been used, then you will need to use the INPUT button to locate the AV input setting, instead of the COMPONENT input setting. This should resolve the matter.

Typically, this message shows the resolution of the INCOMING signal. All signals are processed by the television to allow it to fit the native 1080p resolution of the screen. The best picture, however, will be that which does not require processing to fit.
