Do not use fabric softeners or products to eliminate static unless recommended by the manufacturer of the fabric softener or product. If dryer sheets are used, be certain to clean the sensors, inside the doors, to prevent fiber buildup.

Sensor Dry cycles utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air and adjust the drying time as needed. Generally speaking the suggested dry linen capacity is >10.1 kg. Please keep in mind that the larger the load, the longer it may take to thoroughly dry the clothing. At times if the load is too large the innermost items will still remain damp. It is not recommended to use dryer sheets (fabric softener sheets) in LG dryers. This is because the chemicals in the sheets can collect on the humidity sensors inside the drum, preventing proper humidity sensing. This can cause the unit to shut off before load is dry. They can also block air flow and cover the sensors.

It is not recommended to use such a bar in this dryer. LG recommends that, when using fabric softener, it be added to the wash, as the products have been designed.

From your description, it seems as if there may be a problem with the balance wheels and rollers, or possibly the motor. It is difficult to say for certain without a visual inspection of the unit. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We do not recommend using dryer sheets at any time, as the fibers of the sheets can cover the moisture sensors and cause them to not function properly.

We appreciate your interest in the operations of this machine. If static is a common occurrence, you may wish to use some fabric softener in the washing machine. You can also utilize one of the steam functions of the dryer to reduce static.
