LG dehumidifier model # LD 450 Eal, it is about 6 months old. The digital code is 01 - full bucket but the bucket is empty and it will not come on

My unit is giving the same code, after calling the local electrical supply company it has been determined the code is calling out the humidity sensor. It's green(about 1x1 inches) and under the front cover; but to replace it you have to buy the whole harness from what I was told.

output of water?

i have my dehumidifier set up with a garden hose to drain into a floor drain in my basement. i set the humidity level to 50 yesterday morning. very little water is coming out of the hose. its draining like drops, very slowly. no steady stream of water. is this normal? also how many watts is my ld451egl model? there was no information on how many watts it uses in the manual or on the box. i was wondering how much it will cost to run if i have it set to cycle every two hours.

KEEP A HUMIDITY MONITOR ON THE WALL. IF IT SAYS THAT THE HUMIDITY IS WHERE IT SHOULD BE PER YOUR SETTING ON THE DEHUMIDIFIER, THEN IT WILL ONLY PUT OUT WATER AS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN FROM THE AIR. SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER BEING DRAINED INDICATES THAT LITTLE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN FROM THE AIR.

On average, the unit will use about 139 watts of power. It is not uncommon for a dehumidifier to draw a small amount of water if the room in which it is installed is not very humid. If the humidity level is high, and it does not draw much moisture, then the unit may require service. Question

Where can I find a drain hose connector?

I bought this dehumidifier product a few weeks ago. It works well, and now I'd like to use a drain hose to not have to empty the bucket manually.

So I removed the drain hole cover and figured out that I needed a hose connector of sorts, as described in the manual. Yeah, well except that there was no such thing in the box. I went to Home Depot, and they said 'ah yes, another customer complicated about it, we don't have a solution for you, please contact the manufacturer'.

So here I am... Can I get a spare hose connector somehow?

the connection present on the drain bucket fits a standard garden hose; just screw the garden hose in, run it to where you want the water to be dumped, and you're in business. W. Hodges.

Question

Why is my dehumidifier forming ice and condensation?

My LD450 used to fill up every two days in our humid basement. Now it takes about a week to fill (but runs constantly), and ice and condensation forms on the top of the unit. It's summer and the room is pretty warm, so it's not a temperature issue.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Question

dehumidifier is 1 year old. Turned off for 1 week. Turned back on and now will not collect water. motor running/filter clean/no dust on coils.

Question

Brand new LD450EAL not running

Brand new, just pulled it out of the box. Power is fine. In the "ON" mode (continuous running) with ambient humidity of 80%. The unit briefly ran, then stopped running, but the "ON" light remains on. The bucket-full light is fine (NOT ON) and the bucket is properly installed. WIll not run by adjusting the humidity settings.

What has happened to my LHD659EBL dehumidifier?

01 shows in the window and the bucket light is blinking.
I get one beep when I turn it off; two beeps when I turn it on.
I tried bypassing the bucket full sensor switch and that makes no difference.

It is normal for warm air to be ejected from the dehumidifier. However, as it draws moisture from the air, it should not feel as warm. The unit should not be too noisy. It will have some sound coming from the compressor system of the unit, as well as the fan. However, if this is an excessive noise, then the unit may require service. For the Goldstar model DH404 drain, remove the drain hold cover from the back of the dehumidifier cabinet. Connect a garden hose to the threaded drain hose connector. Push the plastic hose connector tightly to the drain hold, from which the drain cap was just removed. On the inside of the unit, just above the tank, a small, elbow pipe lines up with the drain hole. The plastic hose connector pairs to this elbow pipe, and must tighten securely. The plastic hose connector also should have a tab that fits in the small slot on the back of the cabinet. This will hold the pipe firmly in place.

There are two primary reasons why a dehumidifier would not collect water. One reason is that there is not enough humidity in the air.
