Question

LG Waveforce vs. LG without Waveforce

I am preparing to purchase one of two LG washing machines. Either the 3.7 cf without Waveforce or the 4.5 cf model with Waveforce.

I would prefer the smaller (less $$) model but am concerned that it will not clean my clothes as well without the Waveforce action.

Does the 3.7 cf model have some other feature that compensates for the lack of the Waveforce action; or does it basically clean in the same manner?

Thank you.

Since WaveForce is a more advanced technology which supports cleaning of your clothes, I would recommend to get the LG top-loader with WaveForce technology.

I apologize, but no; this washing machine does not have the capability of using extra water. The closest that it can come is the EXTRA RINSE cycle. The washer will continue to adjust the water level in accordance with the weight of the laundry in the tub.

It is normal for the drum of this washing machine to turn both right and left, rapidly, in order to circulate the water in either direction. If this unit is not operating as it should, then it may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

How do I run a "spin only" cycle?

When the machine is first powered on, the indicator next to "cotton/normal" cycle is lit. If I select (change) the spin speed (the "high" indicator is lit by default when "cotton/normal" is also lit), the "cotton/normal" cycle remains lit. Does this mean that the machine will run a spin only cycle, or will it run a full "cotton/normal" cycle?

NO! Please do not put soap in the washer itself. Use a small amount of liquid HE soap in the detergent drawer at the top. It will dispence the soap, as needed, during the washing process. If you had to, you could empty the detergent pak into the soap drawer by puncturing the pak. The soap must be in the detergent dispencer drawer to work properly.

Question

Not enough water in the machine to wet all the clothes

I've had my machine for about 2 months. After I took the last load out, I noticed that one shirt had a large area that was completely dry. I understand that the machine is designed to use as little water as possible, but I don't understand how the clothes could be clean if they are not getting wet. What am I doing wrong? (no error messages on the machine)

A humming sound is not uncommon with a washing machine. Typically it is either the water valve or the drain pump, while they are in operation. This is normal and no cause for concern.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine drain. Such a back up in the water line can be caused either by something getting sucked into the water pump motor, or by the drain hose being pushed too far down the wall drain. Try pulling this out some, to see if this can relieve the backwash. If it does not, then please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional troubleshooting.

Question

How do I make my wrinkle care button work?

I set it with my load settings and it will stop and error out at the end of the load and never tumble? Does it only work with certain settings or what? It is very important to me, since I don't always hear my dryer when it goes off, so I very often have wrinkle clothes, disapointing with a new washer and dryer!
