The CH67 code is generally related to either a fan motor failure or a blockage to the air inflow. It is recommended to check the filter, and make sure that none of the vents are obstructed. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this dehumidifier. If the water is not being diverted from the tank to the hose, then it is likely that the seal between the unit and the drain pipe is not secure against leaks. Check this pipe seal. This is typically the only thing that could cause such a problem.

Question

I have a 2000 square foot home and I run two 30 pint dehumidifiers - one upstairs and one downstairs in finished basement.

They both run contiunuously and the humidity never gets below 60. The one in the basement I empty twice a day. And the one upstairs only fills up every 3 days. I have mulitiple humidity meters throughout the house and they are never below 60. The specs on these units says that one is good for my house size but even with two I can't get the humidity down. Why?

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with these products. A 30 pint dehumidifier may be sufficient for an open area, the size of the location you have mentioned; however, walls, doorways, doors, and kitchens can affect the efficiency of this product. Depending upon the layout of your home, a 30 pint dehumidifier may not be sufficient for your floor.

It is not indicated that a hose is included, however the hose attachment will accept a standard garden hose fitting.

Do not over tighten the hose when connecting it to the hose connector, use a rubber washer and tighten by hand firmly without stripping the plastic threads.

Thank you, have a lovely day!

Question

Humidity level auto shut-off?

I bought the LD301EL model about a week ago for our basement, setting it up with a hose to drain. I like the humidity level setting but am wondering if this unit automatically shuts off once that level is reached? (Ours has been running continuously since we set it up - which I admit the basement needed.)

Question

External drainage hose connected, some water still going into bucket

Connected external hose to back. Connected rubber stopper and cap to the inside so water does not go into bucket. I returned 2 days later and bucket is half full. I can tell that water is also going into the drain, however, there is water also all over the floor??

I checked the cap to see if properly installed with the rubber stopper, and it is, actually alot of water came out after I opened it.

I cannot explain how water is still accumulating in the bucket, and also all over the floor (I have put the dehumidfier on a metal shelf so that I can connect the external hose on a downward angle so it goes into my basement sink.

Super easy. Unscrew the black cap on the back of the machine, take the plug out. Take the bucket out, place the plug in the inside of the machine and screw the cap in place. Put the bucket back in place. Screw a regular garden hose onto the back of the machine, turn it on, and forget about it because it will do all the work!!

There's a mold smell coming from the 30llB dehumidifor

Hi. We have a 3011B dehumidifor and when it is turned on it smells like mold. How can we clean it/remove the smell? I haven't tried cleaning the filter, I will try tonight. I have used a 1:10 bleach to water solution in the canister and that just removed the mold there. Thanks

Yes, you should certainly clean the filter on this unit. Check the coils on the back of the unit, as they also may have something building up between the blades. The cleaning of the tank should also greatly help in this matter. The unit may simply have a residual odor from before the tank was cleaned. This may fade after time. If it does not, then the unit may require a more detailed cleaning which would require professional assistance. Dehumidifiers do not always draw water enough to drain. It depends upon the surroundings. As such, there may actually be nothing wrong with the unit. This would depend upon the room temperature and humidity levels in the room. However, if there is high humidity, and the unit still does not draw water, then there may be a problem with the sealed system of the unit. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 in order to resolve this matter.

A 30 pint dehumidifier is often sufficient for up to 3,000 square feet, in a moderately damp area, such as what would feel damp or have a musty odor only in humid weather. However, if the area you wish to dry is more along the lines of a wet floor area, or a laundry room type of setting, you may need a 50-65 pint dehumidifier.

LD301EL - fan speed efficiency

At what fan speed--low or high--does the LD301EL operate at a higher Energy Factor (in terms of liters per kWh). It's in my basement where noise isn't an issue; I'd just like to know which fan speed I should use to have it operate the most efficiently.

While we do not have exact figures on the Energy Factor measurements, any differences would be very slight. A higher fan speed would use more power than a low speed, but it would not be a large amount of difference, and likely no difference with the compressor system. Any increased moisture extraction would simply be due to more air movement through the sealed system coils. The setting to be used would be according to your personal preference in the matter.
