Question

Just got this oven. When the convection fan turns on/off there is a "rattle" or vibration in the fan. Is this normal?

If the sound is coming from inside the unit, this is from items inside the unit that may be touching other items. Check inside the unit for items that may be leaning against or touching other items. Also make certain that doors and shelves are properly inserted and in place.

In addition a clicking sound can be from the relays on the PCB main board. The clicking sound will be heard periodically when the unit is running and is normal.

If you continue to experience this issue, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Question

Looking from the front of the oven, is there a recess in the right rear bottom corner of your Electric Range Model LDE3017ST?

My outlet is mounted on the wall and will prevent the range from fitting flush with the wall if there is no cut out/recessed area in that location in the back of the range.

As it turns out, the electric range does not have the Energy Star rating. Please take a look at the eco declaration of this model for more details. You can find the Eco Declaration link on our product support site:

I'm very interested in the LDE3017ST and want to purchase a matching microwave to go above it. Which microwave matches the design of this unit the best in regards to button design, layout, and color? If all the stainless units match this one which microwaves have the best fans and lighting?

The breaker amperage will depend upon the type of power cord being used. A 3-wire power cord can use either a 40A or 50A breaker. A 4-wire cord will require a 50A breaker.

Question

Why does the oven window glass have a rainbow greasy dirty appearance?

I only have 2 days since I purchased my Lg stove and I have tried to wipe the oven glass clean but it still remains looking dirty. On the Lg web site picture that is posted I did not see that rainbow greasy dirty appearance. Could there be something wrong with this oven window glass or is the glass defected?? I"m thinking of returning this stove and exchanging it for another because of that glass appearance.

We regret your displeasure with the appearance of this oven door. There is no defect in the production of these doors that would cause this appearance. Such cosmetic matters will not affect the operation of the product, and as such, are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Question

Convection oven does not work.

Convection oven does not work at all. It takes the same amount of time to bake a cake as using the regular oven. I think I may have bought a lemon. The entire range does not bake right.

I am so disapointed and out of all that money we paid for it :(

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this oven. Is the convection bake or convection roast actually being activated? Pressing the button to activate this feature is something that can be easily overlooked at times. If the unit is not operating properly, then it may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

Is it recommended to use a surge protector for this oven?

I love that it's all electric and touch but I worry that this also makes it more susceptible to power surge spikes. I want the cooking to stay inside oven not display board..
If it does need one does lg make one big enough?
Thanks
Jason
