The UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will beep when the set time has run out. It does not start or stop cooking. To set the Timer (example to set 5 minutes): Touch UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF twice. 0:00 and HR inside will appear and TIMER will flash in the display. Touch 5 in the number pad. You can see 0:05 in the display. Touch TIMER to start the Timer. The time will count down with 5:00 and the time will show in the display. NOTE: If UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF is not touched, the timer will return to the time of day. When the set time has run out, END will show in the display. The indicator tones will sound every 15 seconds until UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF is touched. If the remaining time is not in the display, recall the remaining time by touching the UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF. NOTE: If you touch UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF once, it allows you to set the time in seconds. For example: if you touch 50, it means 50 seconds). If you touch UPPER or LOWER TIMER ON/OFF twice, it allows you to set the time in minutes. For example: if you touch 5, it means 5 minutes)

Yes, it is possible to use certain pressure cookers / canners on this oven. However, if the device states it is not for use with a ceramic top stove top, do NOT use it with this oven. Be sure the canner is centered over the surface unit. Make sure the canner is flat on the bottom. The base must not be more than 1” larger than the element. Use of water bath canners with rippled bottoms may extend the time required to bring the water to a boil and the cooktop may be damaged. Some canners are designed with smaller bases for use on smooth top surfaces.

Generally speaking, during the baking cycle the baking coils are used to maintain heat in the LDE3017ST. When the door is opened or if the temperature falls, the broiler coil will turn on to bring the temperature back to the set temperature. The boiler light will flash when this feature is activated. The installation requirements for this range calls for a power cord capable of handling 50Amps. All wiring should conform to Local and NEC. This range requires a single-phase, 3 wire, A.C 120/208V or 120/240V 60Hz electrical system. Use only a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL-listed range cord with closed-loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar termination. DO NOT install the power cord without a strain relief. A range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 13⁄8” diameter connection openings. This appliance may be connected by means of conduit or power cord.

The surface of this range should be able to withstand around 50lbs of weight. Your 24 quart pot should be fine. Be certain not to drag the pot across the surface, as it could scratch the glass. We appreciate your interest in this product and its features. The InfraGrill capability is activated with the Speed Broil setting in the upper oven cavity. It will also be automatically active during the bake cycles, so it will reduce your normal cook time. Be sure to watch what you cook, so as to not overcook your foods.

The beeper volume can be adjusted. According to page 21 of your owner’s manual, touch the SETTING pad 6 times and “BEEP” will appear in the display. Touch the #4 pad for MUTE. Finally, touch the START pad to accept the change.

As it turns out, LG recommends stainless steel cookware.

If the sound is coming from inside the unit, this is from items inside the unit that may be touching other items. Check inside the unit for items that may be leaning against or touching other items. Also make certain that doors and shelves are properly inserted and in place.

In addition a clicking sound can be from the relays on the PCB main board. The clicking sound will be heard periodically when the unit is running and is normal.
