Question

Is there a keyboard or mouse that will work with the BD590?

Like many people, I'm finding it tedious to navigate YouTube, etc., with the included remote. I'd like to use a keyboard or mouse to input searches more quickly. Is there a product out there that will let me do this?

There are several reasons why an update might fail. It could be that there was some interference in the network connection, or possibly a sufficient bandwidth was not available. The automatic update could also possibly be corrupted. A copy of the update can be obtained manually from our website at http://www.lg.com/us/support/produc....

Subtitles are a standard feature of DVD and BluRay players. Closed Captions are typically available on video tapes, unless they are a specialized feature of the disc or are embedded in the video signal. Netflix was working on an update that may add this feature to some products. It should have been released already. Once the update was made available, it was to be transmitted directly to the player from the Netflix service. For any questions regarding the Netflix service, please visit www.netflix.com/help or call 1-866-579-7113.

I apologize, but this player was not designed for use with a Kindle Fire. The USB port of the player is designed to be used with videos, music, and photo files. If the Kindle is configured for DLNA file sharing, then it may be possible to use these devices together. We cannot guarantee their compatibility.

The picture should not be dropping out when in use. It is recommended to check and/or replace the wiring being used to connect it to the TV. The latest firmware update could also be installed, in order to see if this might resolve the issue. The update can be obtained at http://www.lg.com/us/support/produc.... If it does not, then it would be recommended to contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

This player is equipped with an IEEE 802.11n (2.4 GHz band only) wireless module, which also supports the 802.11b/g standards. For the best wireless performance, we recommend using an IEEE 802.11n certified Wi-Fi network (access point or wireless router). A wired internet connection is strongly recommended. Using the [HOME LINK] features, network update, and video streaming services (such as Netflix, Vudu, CinemaNow and YouTube videos) with a wireless network can be affected by other household devices that use a radio frequency.

Question

Youtube interface problems on BD 590

I have a BD 390 and a BD 590. On the Youtube search interface, I have to type the full text of what I am searching for and click on search for the search to begin. During typing, I don't get any suggestions. Example: When I start typing "Holly", I expect to be seeing suggestions like "Hollywood movies", etc. I get no suggestions from BD 590. On the LG 390, it works as expected. Is there something that I need to do?
