There is also a problem on some models that have to long of screws holding a sensor that can tear off the felt seal on your lent screen. If the lent seal is damaged, look in the slot and down about 2” in the middle. These can easily be changed one at a time with shorter screws. I had the extended warranty, but it is a design flaw. They should replace your lint trap, at the least for free.

Something is seriously wrong! That tells me you have no exhaust air flow. Check your outside flapper and the duct work all the way to the dryer. You can also see in the dryer through the exhaust pipe, clean it with an shop vac. as far as you can. Also check to be sure a sock didn’t fall into the lint screen slot and get push down in. There is also a problem on some models that have to long of screws holding a sensor that can tear of the felt seal on your lent screen. If the lent seal is damaged, look in the slot and down about 2” in the middle. These can easily be changed one at a time with shorter screws.

Question

Are there any recalls on the lint trap for this dryer ?

There is a screw that rubs against the felt "seal" on the lint trap and causes it to tear loose and excess lint escapes and builds up.

This is normal operation. This is simply an indicator to remind you to clear the filter before drying a load of clothes. This is not cause for concern.

For the FLOW SENSE Duct Blockage Sensing System Indicator, if NO bars are shown in the display, the ductwork is free from blockages. If all bars are lit, the dryer ductwork has a blockage that needs to be removed immediately.

Question

Control Panel seem to have blown a fuze for DLE5955W

I had set my dryer to start its cycle, turned it on-set it-then press play.. As I was walking away I heard a small pop, kind of like when a light bulb goes out. When I open the door of the dryer the light is on, which leads me to believe that something happen to the control panel only. Can it be fix? And if it can how? Do we have a order number for the panel. Please help???

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dryer. It is recommended to check the breakers associated with the dryer, as well as the lint filter and the exhaust duct. These can all contribute to a lack of drying performance. If these are all clear, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dryer. Typically, if the unit is producing hot air, but still is not drying, a likely cause of this would be an obstruction in the ventilation, such as either the lint filter or the exhaust duct. If this is not the case, then the unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Open the dryer door. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 2 screws that secure the door hinge to the dryer door opening. Remove the 4 screws from the latch side of the dryer door opening, and remove the door latch. Turn the door around so the hinge is reversed, and reattach the door using the 2 screws previously removed. Reinstall the door latch and the 4 screws. Test the door swing to make sure the door moves freely and latches securely. This information is found on page 12 of your owner’s manual.
