However, you may be able to find this unit still available in stock at some dealers. i would suggest doing an online search on the model number to see if the unit is available locally for you to purchase. Our Units are normally discontinued based on model number only to make room for our next years model. We normally will have a very similar model with similar specifications when new models are released. This model mentioned is not being discontinued due to any issues with the unit.

This appears to be the ER IF error code. This typically refers to a problem with the ice maker fan. It is recommended to unplug the unit and allow the ice maker compartment to defrost, thaw, and melt any ice buildup. Dry up the excess moisture before plugging the unit in again. This should resolve the matter. If it does not, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

My Ice maker doesn't dispense ice very reliably. Sometimes it's clogged in the chute, sometimes it's not.

In trying to troubleshoot the dispensing inssue, I have noticed that the nut on the back of the ice bucket has come loose a couple of times. I have tightened it, but it didn't help. I have checked to make sure the flap is closing and it seems to be within a reasonable amount of time. We moved into the house and acquired the frig and have had issues off and on for 2 years. It seems as though this was a problem with this item, what have you did you do to fix the problem? When the time comes to replace the frig, I'm not sure I'd go with another LG if this glitch can't be rectified by you, the manufacturer. I'm pretty handy, if you can get me the right parts or something to check, I'll gladly try to fix it.

Question

I have had problems with our ice dispenser jamming since this fridge was a month old, it's basically useless. Is there any solution to this?

We are unable to use the ice dispenser which is very frustrating. I paid a lot of money for this appliance and it has never worked as it should. I have seen in the past that others have had this problem as well. Have there been any recalls, replacements or repair options offered? We are usually very loyal LG customers and I am pretty disappointed with this appliance because it doesn't function as it should. If I could afford it I would buy another fridge, but I do not have the budget for that.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this product. There have been no recalls on our ice makers or dispensers. Dispenser jamming can be caused by the door flap not closing properly, or the seal not keeping warmer, moist air out of the freezer compartment. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

Why does my ice dispenser constantly jam?

It seems several of us (customers) have had the same problem with the auger/motor of the ice dispenser jamming. I ensure that the flap is closed every time we use it. Also there is nothing wrong with the seal-there is no excess warm air getting into the compartment. I really think that you guys should look into this issue. It truly seems like a manufacturing or design defect and not the individual fridge. I have been a very loyal LG customer and always recommend your products to others. I do not feel as though I should have to pay to repair a product defect-especially since the only solution I see is replacement of the dispenser by a superior one and not paying for a costly service that would not remedy the faulty part. This is having a serious affect on my interest in ever owning another LG product. Please change my mind!

Your freezer should not be experiencing a water leak. This is either condensation from warm air in the unit, or something coming from your ice maker. Either way, this should not be happening. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator and its care. To remove the glass and lattice from the crisper cover, you must first remove the crisper cover from the cabinet in the manner suggested on page 21 of the owner’s manual. Remove both crisper drawers. While holding the crisper cover support, and pull the cover up and out. Remember that the glass is not attached to the cover, so be careful. Hold the glass cover and gently overturn the crisper cover. This should allow the glass to separate from the shelf.

It is recommended that, when the unit is first installed, the freezer temperature should be set to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, while the refrigerator should be set to 37 degrees. Once the unit reaches these temperatures, you may change the setting to however you would prefer.

With both hands, hold the center of the stabilizer bar and pull it out to let both rails out to their full extension simultaneously. Make sure the door is securely in place. Once the door is secure, make sure you have a rail cover for each side of the unit. Align the top holes of the rail cover with the top holes of the door supports to assemble the rail cover. With the drawer pulled out to full extension, insert the lower basket into the rail assembly. This information is available on page 13 of your owner’s manual.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The wheels do not actually have a lock in place. Check the leveling, support legs on the front of the cabinet. Use a flat-head screwdriver to turn these legs to the point that they lift off the floor. Once raised, the wheels should allow the refrigerator to roll forward or backward.

Adjust the temperature in the REFRIGERATOR compartment by pressing the REFRIGERATOR button. When the temperature setting gets to the limit of its cycle, it will start over at the cycle’s other extremity. The operation of the FREEZER is performed in the same fashion, with the FREEZER button. A copy of the owner’s manual can be obtained from our website at http://www.lg.com/us/support-produc....

Question

Door-open alarm continues to go off

all of a sudden today the alarm that indicates a door has been left ajar has been sounding spuriously at random intervals. I've checked and rechecked that all doors are shut and sealed, but yet it continues until I disable it. I'd rather not disable it since it does provide a good indication of when i've left the door ajar ever so slightly.
