When power is connected to this Subwoofer, but the unit has not been activated, you should see a RED LED light. When powered on, this indicator should change from RED to BLUE.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this Sound Bar Home Theater System. According to our records, it appears that this LED indicator light, for the subwoofer, should be located on the back of the woofer cabinet, which is near the wireless component.

You may, if you so choose; however, it is not necessary to keep a Sound Bar active at all times. You can turn it on and off according to your need of the audio enhancement.

We appreciate your interest in this BluRay player and its accessories. It may be possible to control your TV operations, depending upon the type of TV you are using. While holding down the TV POWER button, enter the code for your TV, using the numerical buttons. Then release both buttons. The remote is designed for SINGLE-DIGIT codes, ranging from 1 through 9. Depending on your TV, some or all buttons may not function on the TV, even after entering the correct code. When you replace the battery of the remote, the code number you have set may be reset to the default setting (1). You will have to reprogram the controller.

Question

when sound bar is ON after 5-10 min, original volume on remote control will not work

We got this product, and loved at first. Until the sounds bar stopped working properly couple months ago (of course, as soon as warranty time goes out). We do turn ON and OFF everyday, as the sound bar feels really hot. When sound bar is ON after 5-10 min, the original volume on remote control will not work (but everything else on remote works). How can I fix that? Thank you.

I apologize, but no; the Bluetooth component of this device is designed for operations with its wireless Subwoofer. It is not designed for operations with a microphone.

We have no indication of whether or not the Sound Bars will be compatible with your TV controller, as we have no indication as to what make or model television is in place. All codes to be used for programming the Universal remote control will be located in the setup instructions for the Controller. If you have experienced trouble in locating codes for LG, you may also try using Zenith or Goldstar codes, as some of these coincide with LG frequencies.

Question

No sound from soundbad on local cable channel

I recently bought this soundbar. I currently have it hooked up to my Charter HD cable box. The cable box is connected to the TV via HDMI cable. I have an optical cable from the cable box to the soundbar. The soundworks fine on the HD and SD channels, but on our local town channels, I can't get any sound. I have turned off the SAP option which was the recommendation of the cable provided but still no sound. Help!

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this Sound Bar. If the Local Channels are received by an antenna, connected directly to the television, then that which has been experienced would be normal, as there is no audio connection between the TV and the Sound Bar. It is rather recommended to connect the Cable Box to the TV with the HDMI cable, and then connect the TV to the Sound Bar using an OPTICAL Digital Audio Output cable. This will allow the audio signals from the antenna to also route to the Sound Bar. This should resolve your situation.

It does--press------att & ok release --then 955 --then aux. Should control power and volume now. Worked for me with the att u-verse "silver" standard remote.

You may try a different programming code, to see if another might control more features. The remote control manufacturer is the only one who will have programming codes available.

Question

Why does the sound cut out?

On certain HD channels, the sound cuts out for a second randomly. The display switches briefly to "DD 3/2.1" while watching a show and "DD 2/0.0" when on a commercial as if there is some conflict with the audio signal, then goes back to the default "optical 1" display. Sounds like the soundbar keeps having to reset itself. Happens most often on Palladia, so much that is is unwatchable with the soundbar. Also on HD Net and a couple of the other channels. Does not happen when watching through the regular tv speakers. Is there a certain setting that should be used?

I'm noticing the same thing, although it was happening on my LG 42LE5300 TV's speakers as well before I got the sound bar but not as bad. Techs have answered elsewhere on this forum that it is the antenna signal.

I guessed that might be the cause in my case, as I'm using an amplified antenna on my satellite input with a diplexer. And, satellite receivers switch the power on the line between 13 and 18 volts in a rythmic fashion, not unlike the sound dropouts I was experiencing.

But, the contrary factor in my set up is that the same antenna signal is being used through RG59 cable inside my house by another LG HDTV and it doesn't happen on that TV. So, it makes me wonder...........

I will be trying a different antenna set up to see if that improves things, but probably not for a couple of weeks. I'll try and remember to post results back here.

This system is compatible with LPCM, 2ch Down Mix, Dolby® Digital, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS, DTS- HS Master Audio Essential, and DSP. It may be that the signal being received is not a compatible signal for this unit. You may attempt changing to one of the other preset audio options that are listed on page 17 of your owner’s manual.

Question

Just purchased this soundbar & the subwoofer has no sound.

Sometimes blue light stays on & it still doesn't have any sound. A good bit of the time the blue light flashes & changes back & forth to red. We have tried changing the settings to different sounds but nothing. We have also tried "resetting" by hitting mute & stop at the same time to manually pair the subwoofer.

We just purchased it yesterday. Thank you!

Exchange at Best Buy took care of the problem - and it was easy! New unit synched up soundbar with subwoofer immediately and have had no problems after five days.

Same problem here. And, when holding down the "stop" on the bar and the "pause" on the remote, I'm not getting the "REMATE" display the manual says I should be.

I have encoutered other reports of this problem as well, but have not seen a resolution other than returning the unit. I'm guessing that there is another solution. Maybe a different combinatin of control buttons or something that resets the bar or the subwoofer so they can communicate.

I just received this on Friday. I purchased using credit card rewards, and it would be difficult to return.

I hope a tech weighs in here with an answer soon.
