Yes, this TV does have a web browser. However, you should not consider the web browser to be as strong as one you would have on a PC. The web browser is compatible with up to Flash 8.

Which is the best 65" LG LED tv aveilable?

The only 65” television that we are releasing, in the immediate future, is the 65LW6500. The technology on this unit is already quite good, and would be worth it, if 3D viewing is your desire. While we would, of course, suggest moving ahead with your purchase, we cannot make a determination whether this unit meets all your expectations, until knowing what your expectations are. The related 47” and 55” television models can be viewed on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-led-tv-47LW6500.jsp.

Question

What glasses are compatible with this TV? 55LW5600

I recently bought this TV (55LW5600), love it by the way, and want additional glasses for it. I know the 4 that came with the TV are passive. Will any plain old passive glasses work with this, such as glasses received at the IMAX movie theatre, or is there a specific type that I need to look for?

*Side note* The 55LW5600 55" 3D LED TV is not listed under the "Products related to my question." selection down below.

If the network and other online applications operate properly, then it is likely that there is a configuration with Netflix. If you need assistance with your Netflix account, it is recommended to contact 866-579-7113, or online at www.netflix.com/help.

Our televisions do not have a polarizer built into them. However, the screen has a matte finish, and as such, will reduce any glare.

You can easily connect the unit by connecting an ethernet cable from the router to the back of the unit. After the internet connection is established and your Netflix account is activated, you should be able to access the broadband services and stream movies from Netflix. While this television may have many computer-like features, it does not currently have the capability of viewing QuickTime videos directly. The only option for this would be to have the computer connected to the television, and running QuickTime on the computer, and simply viewing it on the TV, as a monitor.

There are only 3 models of 3D glasses being released in the US. The model to obtain depends upon what model television is being used. For the 2011 Cinema 3D models, you will need the AG-F200. For the 2011 Dynamic 3D TVs, you will need the AG-S250. For the 2010 model 3D TVs, you would need the AG-S110. Any of these can fit over regular glasses, but they cannot attach to them.

The passive form of 3D content does not have any effect on the refresh rates of your television screen. The glasses work using polarized lenses, much like in a movie theater, so there is no requirement for the change in the screen’s response time.

The software in the television reviews the images as they are processed, and separates the data into two separate frames, and then determines what portion is in the foreground and what is in the background. Then the data for the background is pushed further back, to give more 3D spacing.
