Question

This portable A/C ran for over a month and didn't need to be emptied...

The filter is clean, I have emptied it and now I can not run this thing for more than 3 hours without The FL indicator displaying and the unit shutting down. The room is not humid enough to cause this, I have another A window unit I use when this is down.

Something must be wrong with this thing, I saw a note somewhere about this being a known problem...

this is a refurbished unit with a 90 day warranty, It only worked about 30 days.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this device. If the tank is actually full, when this FL indicator appears, then it is actually operating properly. If there is no water in the tank, when this indicator is active, then there may be a problem with its operation. The unit would require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

AC won't stay on long enough to cool room to set temp

When the AC is set on a lower temp it will only run for a minute or so before returning to fan mode. Why is this? All settings for the AC are correct so it would seem to be a bigger issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Such symptoms can occur if the airflow is restricted, or if the air filter is dirty. This can also happen if the cooling coils have iced. Check the filter and the coils to see if this unit is experiencing something of this nature. If not, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

I apologize, but no; this portable air conditioner must have the ability to vent through the window. If there is no access to a window, the running of this unit will blow hot air into the room, defeating the purpose of using an air conditioner.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. The only means available of cleaning this unit would be to clean the filters of the cabinet, and then possibly running a vacuum cleaner over the vents on the sides of the cabinet.

Yes, there is a coolant gas in the sealed system of this portable air conditioner. There is no method available for releasing this gas. High altitudes of a flight could likely cause the gas to expand beyond the capacity for the tubing to contain it. It is not recommended to take such a product on a flight.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. This model is designed to utilize the water collected to increase operational efficiency, and in doing so, evaporate the water. If there is a sizable amount of humidity in the room, then the water collection can be higher than the rate of evaporation. If the unit is operating properly, cooling well, and resets the display whenever the water has been drained, then it would seem that the air conditioner is operating as designed. It would therefore seem that there is a very high amount of moisture in the room. If this is not the case, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the trouble you have experienced with your Portable Air Conditioner. The CH 02 code suggests that there is a short or open circuit in the indoor pipe thermostat. The unit will likely require service, according to the information on page 23 of your owner’s manual. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Typically, the filters and the water collection tank are the primary causes of this device to stop operating. It is also recommended to check the electrical supply and the circuit breakers to which the unit is connected. If all is in order, and the unit still will not operate, then the air conditioner will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. If this unit does not reset its FULL status indication, once it has been drained, it would be suggested to attempt unplugging the system for about 45 seconds before reconnecting it. If it still does not reset, then the unit may require service. Question

Setting the dehumidifier

I have the LP1111wxr and I want to use it in my basement as a dehumidifier, I was wondering how you set the humidity level? I only want the machine to run when the humidity gets high and I do not want the A/C to come on to try and cool the basement down. I was wondering how to get this machine to do this.

We appreciate your interest in this portable air conditioner. This machine has not been designed to attain a specific humidity level. This model is an air conditioner, and simply has this feature to extract moisture on humid days too cool to need the cooling mode. If a dehumidifier is needed, and there is no desire for air conditioning, then it would be recommended to use the appropriate device for the task at hand.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this air conditioner. Excess moisture, in this unit, is only generated by the humidity in the room. If there is an air leak in the room, then this moisture level can increase. If you believe there to be a problem with the device, then it may require service. After a while (About a month) I might hear the water in the pan, but unless it is VERY muggy out, it shouldn't have the pan fill too much. I also have a 2 year older model and it will fill an industrial cooking pot in a night with condensation. I am adding a picture. I can get a gallon in an hour if we have really high humidity. THIS one being newer, I put a boot tray under it "just in case" and still have never had a leak at the same time as it's older model is drawing large amounts of condensation. You can also pull the drain plug out and run a bit of hose down to a bucket below it like you see in the picture I have done with my older model. The picture I attached is my older model on my dresser with a bucket to collect water and the small bit of clear hose. The one inch of water in the bucket was from two hours operation with 90% humidity outside. The new one still hasn't had a full pan yet in the same time frame. I will probably get another one just because it is helpful with my asthma in how well it works. Humidity is not good for asthma sufferers

Question

Where can I purchase a replacement vent for this product?

I've had this portable air conditioner for over a year and use it all the time; however, through normal wear and movement, the hot air duct/vent is starting to get tears in it. Naturally I did some searching online, but was unable to find any definite resources for this particular product. Can you please tell me where I can find a replacement duct or what specifically I should be looking for?
