The lowest setting of the refrigerator temperature is supposed to be around 46 degrees. The medium setting, that which we recommend at first installation, is about 37 degrees.

The only thing that should get in the way of this flap closing is ice getting lodged in the chute. If this is not the case, then the unit may require service. You may make arrangements for service with our Customer Interactive Center, at 800-243-0000.

Question

the water comes out very slowly

We just changed the filter with the appropriate filter LT500P- before replacing the filter, the water was dispensed almost twice as fast as it is now. Is there something that we can clean or is perhaps the new filter faulty.

If the water supply valve is not turned on, water will not be supplied to the dispenser. Turn on the water supply valve. Water Pressure should be between 20-120 PSI for proper dispensing. The filter should be changed every 6 months or more often depending on usage. The short filter (LT500P) can filter 500 gallons of water. The long filter (LT600P) can filter 300 gallons of water. The filter can get buildup of foreign
particles and slow the water pressure.

Question

Is the white lever (bar) attached to the front of the ice maker suppose to move up and down in relation to the fullness of the bin?

It takes at least 2 days for our bin to fill and has since the day our refrigerator was delivered aprx 2 years ago. It is VERY frustrating as out last refrigerator made a bin full of ice in aprox 12 hours. We can not figure out what the problem is.

I apologize for the frustration you are experiencing. There are many factors that can cause an issue such as this.

Is the temperature setting too warm on Freezer? -4°F (-20°C) is the minimum recommended temperature setting of the freezer compartment for normal ice production. If the freezer temperature is set at a warmer temperature, then the ice will produce at a slower rate.

Are the doors opened often? If the doors of the unit are opened often, the cold air will escape which will prevent the unit from maintaining the set temperature. Lowering the temperature can help, as well as not opening the doors as frequently.

Are the water lines kinked or leaking? Check the water lines at the back of the unit for any kinks or leaks that could be inhibiting water flow to the icemaker. If the water lines at the back of the unit are kinked, straighten them out. If there are any leaks, proceed to the leaking section of this guide.

The Express Freeze/Ice Plus can be used to increase ice production. This option will operate the compressor continuously for three hours. With this option the cold air in the compartment is increased as is ice production. Before activating this option, set the freezer temperature to 0°F (-18°C) or colder.

If you continue to experience this problem, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional trouble shooting steps or service.

Our parts listing does not recognize this part number. However, the closest part number on the list of parts, for this refrigerator, is the MJX42111401, which is a water valve. Without a valid part number, however, it will not be possible to make a solid determination on which part is needed.

Was the ice maker turned off during the time that the water was disconnected? If not, then the unit would have continued to try to bring in water which, if no water was available, could have damaged the water pump motor. Instructions to do this are located on page 19 of the owner’s manual, stating “When you should set the Icemaker Power Switch to OFF”-“When the water supply will be shut off for several hours.” You will likely have to have a technician out to inspect the unit. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491. The part number for the touch-up paint is listed as TUP-3796TG. However, while this is the only touch up paint available for a Titanium refrigerator, it is only valid for the gray cabinet, and not the Titanium doors. There is no touch-up paint designed for the finish of the doors.

Question

How do I stop the ice maker from over flowing?

The overflow creates a icicle that forms to a iceberg. How do I adjust? plus now I have what looks like a floater and another little block attached to wires hanging. Do you have a repair manual that show how to assemble the ice maker?

The water flow in the ice maker is controlled by a timer. If too much water is running in, causing the overflow, then the water valve needs to be restricted. Closing the water valve a little bit will reduce the water flow into the ice maker, and prevent the ice maker from overflowing.

Question

The water dispenser gets stuck and doesn't shut off.

Sometimes when dispensing water, the dispenser gets stuck and won't shut off. If I press LOCK, it will quit. And then sometimes if you hit it just right, it will shut off. This happens only peridically.
