Question

Monitor takes over 5 minutes to come back up after power saving

I have tried to set for "never" on 'turn off monitor' but continued to use 'sleep'.--same result. Have also reversed setting to never for 'sleep' and 20 minutes for 'turn off monitor'. Same.
I also have an additional connection to my TV and that comes right up while the monitor does not for over 5 minutes. This leads me to believe the problem is in the moniror.

Question

power button flashes blue for 15 minutes before displays screen

It does not appear to be a cable or connection problem as if a different monitor is connected it displays immediately like the l227wtg monitor used to. It needs longer and longer time to "warm up" and display the screen. This is something that has been getting worse each day the computer is rebooted. The monitor is now just over 1 month past its 3 year warranty.

Question

So my power button flashes blue with nothing on the screen

This happened a few times but the screen would turn on after a while. Now the blinking seems to have stopped. Should i be concerned? Was it simply a capacitor issue that corrected itself?

The blue indicator light is used when the monitor has been activated. If the blue light comes on when the screen is powered on, and then reverts to red when it shuts off, then there is likely no cause for concern.

Question

power button flashes blue but the screen remains blank

The power button is flashing blue. For a couple of minutes the LG logo would flash on the screen, but now that is not even happening. Is the monitor dead or is it a computer problem?

It seems that this monitor may have gone into its standby mode, after having not received a signal from the computer. It is recommended to unplug the monitor for about 45 seconds, and then, after plugging it in again, turn the monitor on, along with the computer. If the unit is still acting unresponsive to attempts at activation, then the unit may require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

We appreciate your interest in this product. According to our information, the stand was designed to snap into place, rather than using screws.
