No, Netcast Broadband is not available on this television. It has no provision for connecting to your Home Network. To make this possible, it is suggested to review the capabilities of the ST600 Smart TV receiver. It connects to the TV with an HDMA cable, and provides Apps for most, if not all of the features that were available on Netcast.

Question

remote control problem

I have a model 47LG50 LCD TV. The remote stopped working a couple of months ago and the sensor in the TV was replaced under warranty. Now it has stopped working again. Is there a problem with the remote sysyem on this model or something I can try to remedy the problem short of calling it in for another warranty claim? Thanks.

We do not have an exact measurement of the required wattage for the 47LG50 model television. Our 47” LCD televisions wil average around 200 watts when in use, and less than 1 watt when in standby mode.

There are a few reasons why this remote control might not operate. It could be that the remote control has quit working, or that the board inside has broken. It could also be that the IR receiver in the TV has quit picking up the signal. Do any of the commands from the remote control work? If so, then the receiver on the TV works fine, and the remote would need to be replaced. If not, and if you have one, try a universal remote control with the TV. Again, if it works, then the remote control will need to be replaced. Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491. The part number for this remote control is MKJ40653801. Otherwise the TV may require service. We regret the trouble you have experienced with this television and the remote controls. If the Time Warner remote control continued to work after the LG remote control quit, then it is likely that the television still operates properly. It is recommended to replace the batteries in both remote controls to see if the LG remote control begins working again. The remote controls may need to be replaced, if the batteries do not resolve the matter.

Question

the tv has a message that blinks on and off that says" this feature is not available" with a warning triangle with an exclamation inside of it.

The warning blinks on and off continuosly and I have to redo the input to HDMI then it will go away. The tv will stay on when the power is off and the remote won't work. You have to push the menu button on the side of tv. Last night I had to disconnect the power cord to det the tv off.
