Question

what does "dHE" code mean

Hi and thank you for contacting us. The "dHE" error refers to the water supply. You would need to make sure the tap is on. If that is OK, unplug the unit and leave it unplugged for thirty minutes and then plug it back in.

If this does not eradicate the issue, you may need service. You may obtain service assistance by contacting our Customer Service Department at 800-243-0000.

I have had my washer/dryer combo 3 years. Is there anything that needs maintenance on it? Do you need to clean a filter or replace a filter?

The UE error code is an UNBALANCED error. This can be caused by the load being either too small, or too unbalanced. Try adding 1 or 2 similar items to a small load, in order to help it balance. Rearrange the load to assist with balance. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

Question

What does "Cd" code mean?

The machine stops drying and this message appears. The clothes are still damp when I open the door. I've had someone clean the vent and replace a few parts, but the issue still persists.

The ‘CD’ code simply stands for Cool Down. The cool down cycle is while the unit is dissipating some of the remaining humidity in the drum, which is normal operation. While the clothing may still by slightly damp, there should not be a significant amount of moisture in the unit.

I apologize for the frustration you are experiencing. There are many factors that can cause an issue such as this. Different minerals in the water or a home water softener system can change the quality of the cleaning. The amount of detergent used is a main cause of poor cleaning performance. Due to the amount of water used per cycle in the High-Efficiency unit, the amount of detergent has to be reduced. Our recommended amount is generally 2 TBSP. The unit does not use enough water to rinse out the clothing properly if too much detergent is used in a cycle. This can cause and odor as well as leave the clothing looking dingy. It is imperative to maintain the unit by following the cleaning instructions in the owner’s manual. In addition front load tub cleaners are available at your local store. All Owner's Manuals are available on our website at www.lg.com.

Does this unit actually wash the clothes again, or does it simply sound like it? It is the nature of the drying function of this washing machine to run additional cold water around the drum to initiate the CONDENSATION DRY operation. If this is not the case, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
