Here are some helpful cleaning instructions from the owners manual. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Customer Support for further assistance at 1-800-243-0000.

Wear rubber gloves and eye protection while
performing the following procedure:
Dilute ¾ cup (177 ml) liquid chlorine bleach
with 1 gallon (3.8 L) of warm/hot water.
Use this solution to wipe down all surfaces of
the gasket to remove the deposits that are causing
any odor. (Be sure to fold back the lip of the gasket
to get under the edge where residue can build up.)
Wipe the gasket with a dry cloth.
safely and conveniently
secure the door slightly ajar with a magnetic door
plunger to keep the door open. This will promote air
circulation and allow the interior of the machine to
dry.
Do not use undiluted bleach as this will damage the
gasket. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for
proper use of bleach. If the gasket cannot be cleaned
properly, it should be replaced.

Hi and thank you for contacting us. The "LE" Error can occur with a number of conditions:

A. Like any computer, sometimes it just needs to be reset. So you would just need to unplug the unit, leaving it unplugged for thirty minutes and then plug it back in.
B. There may be excessive debris in your Coin Catch Filter which is located behind the lower cover [door] on the front, bottom part of the front panel. You would need to be sure to clean that filter often to prevent any errors or other problems with the unit.
C. Your motor could be defective. In the event your motor is the problem, you would need service. You can reach our Customer Service at 800-243-0000 for service assistance.

Hello and thank you for inquiring. I would be happy to assist. If your unit will not drain automatically, you will need to drain it manually. Here is how you do so:

- you will first need a vessel of some sort to catch the water that will flow out
- open the lower cover cap with a tool such as a coin [this is located on the front panel of the unit on the lower, left hand side].
- turn the drain plug to pull out the hose.
- unplug the drain plug, allowing the water to flow out freely.
- When the water flow subsides, you can insert the drain plug to it's original place and close the lower cover cap

The unit features a DOOR LOCK INDICATOR that indicates that the door is locked. The washer door will lock while the washer is operating. The door can be unlocked by pressing the START/
PAUSE button to stop the washer.

NOTE: If the temperature in the washer is too high, the door cannot be unlocked until the washer has cooled. If the water level is too high, select the DRAIN & SPIN cycle to drain excess water. Do not try to force open the door.

Unplug the unit and plug it back in to reset the board. If you continue to experience this problem, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional trouble shooting steps or service.

The amount of clothing or size of comforter that can be washed in the unit can vary. The washer can be fully loaded, but the drum should not be tightly packed with items. The door of the washer should close easily. Depending on the bulkiness of the comforter, some king size comforters will fit and some will not.

An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes. However, the OE error code does not always mean that the washer requires a service call. If periodic maintenance has not been performed on the washer, there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service.

Step 1: Check the drain pump filter. Items caught in the drain filter will prevent proper drainage. Over time build up can occur from detergents and additives used in the machine. Manually drain unit through the drain hose, then lay a towel down to catch the water, and remove the filter. Clean the filter thoroughly and restart the machine.

Step 2: Check the washers drain hose. If the drain hose is not installed properly, the washer will not drain properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine

Step 3: Confirm that the washer is leveled properly. If the unit is not leveled properly, it will not drain properly. The front of the unit cannot be higher than the back or vice versa. If not properly leveled, the water can flow back into the machine. If this is the cause of the problem, please level the machine using the supplied leveling wrench. When you place a LEVEL on the washing machine, the bubble should be in the center. Confirm that the washer is leveled from side to side and front to back.

I apologize for this frustration. It sounds as though a cup in the drawer has lifted and is not allowing for the drawer to open. The only was to fix this is to "wiggle" the drawer around in attempt to have the cup fall back into its spot. If it continues, regrettably, your unit may require service to have the top removed to push the cup into place. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for troubleshooting tips and service information.

The outer tub is suspended in place with three shocks as well as with the motor and spindle. Some units have bearing weights to help with the balance. We recommend having a certified technician perform any diagnoses and, if necessary, any repairs. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

If the drain filter is not obstructed, and the drain hose is not clogged, and the spin cycle still will not remove all the water, then there may be a problem with the drain pump, or some other issue. This unit will likely require service. Yes, the setting of the water level is performed automatically. This is done by processes in the control system, as it tests the weight and density of the load.

The IE error code is for when the water supply either fills slowly or not at all. This can be caused by the water valves not being opened fully, the water lines being kinked, or the water pressure being too low. These can also lead to a lack in draining and the spin. However, if this does not appear to be the case, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....

The LE Error Code typically refers to an overload in the drum motor of the washing machine. At times, this can be cleared by unplugging the washer for about 5 minutes, and then reconnecting it. If this does not resolve the matter, then the unit may require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair....
